MEET OUR TEAM

Craig & Becca Wilson

Craig and Becca Wilson are joining the Arctic Barnabas team as Pastoral Care Providers. Together they bring education and experience related to pastoral counseling, ministry, social work, life coaching, and special education. Craig and Becca met at Abilene Christian University where Craig received a BS in Social Work and Becca received BS in Communication. Craig is currently seeking a master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and Becca received her master’s in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Their background makes them a jack-of-all-trades couple; important for ministry and life in Alaska. Craig and Becca were called to Alaska in 2006 and since arriving, they have been very involved in their church. Throughout the eleven and half years of living in Anchorage, Craig has served in men’s ministry, children’s ministry, led many small group Bible studies, served as Children’s Director for two and a half years, and is now an elder at Kaleo Church in Anchorage. Becca has also served in the church as a leader on the worship team for the past 10 years, co-leader in a small group ministry, showing hospitality in various capacities for church events, and teacher in children’s ministry. The Wilsons, along with a core team of twenty families, planted Kaleo Church in January of 2015. Prior to the launch of Kaleo Church, this group met together for a year in order to prepare together. This has given the Wilsons a great passion for church planting and has opened their eyes to the difficulty that many in church leadership face (especially those in remote Alaska). Craig and Becca have built their family through foster care and adoption. They have five beautiful children, Ian (15), Hunter (9), Bree (7), Alayah (6) and KJ (2). Currently, Craig attends fulltime graduate school, assists Becca in homeschooling their kids, and works a part-time job. Becca is a homeschool mom, a professional life coach with a certificate in personal development coaching from The CAPP Institute, accredited by the International Coaching Federation and substitute teaches through the Anchorage School District on occasion. They are both very excited and looking forward to ministering alongside Missionary families that have both a heart for the gospel of Christ and the people of Alaska.
