Aviation Award & Hangar News

AACA Award LetterArctic Barnabas Ministries is proud to share their nomination for the 2014 AACA Emergency Response Award in recognition for our hand in the relief efforts during last year’s flood in Galena, Alaska. We, along with several other non-profits, teamed up to support the people of Galena after a devastating glacial related flood left the people and pastors of the village with very little. Many lost their homes. We are blessed to have been in the position to offer both aircraft and staff as part of the larger team that came in to offer some relief.

One of our missionaries writes:

“What an amazing honor! As I read and reflected on the many ways we collectively reached out to the Galena residents, I recalled how so many people had a hand in meeting needs in big and small ways, and put together, the result was a HUGE blessing to our friends in Galena. Praise God! I’m thankful to be part of the ABM team, thankful that God is using us as instruments of blessing, and thankful that he gives us encouragement like this from time to time. This letter felt like a little foretaste of those words we all look forward to hearing: ” Well done, good and faithful servant.” -Sara Hadfield

Arctic Barnabas Ministries Missionaries and Staff thank the people of Galena for the nomination and award. We continue to think and pray for them as they move forward in the rebuilding process.

What’s New in the ABM Hangar?

Twin Comanche Feb 14th

Our Aviation Department Director, Paul Hadfield, is in the process of coordinating maintenance on the Twin Comanche and Lance airplanes. In the next 2 weeks he expects the Twin Comanche to have completed its annual inspection and will have it in full service by the first week in March. It’s resources and work like this by our missionary mechanics and pilots that make ministry in the bush village communities of Alaska & Canada possible.
