What’s Ministry Family Retreat?
Ministry Family Retreat or “MFR” is Arctic Barnabas Ministries’ annual, by invite only, Pastor and Missionary Care week-long event. MFR is specifically designed to care for the unique needs of pastors and missionaries who are living and serving in bush Alaska and Western Canada. Participants have a chance to be led in worship, hear encouraging talks, enjoy family time, receive free dental care and experience a week of rest and refreshment among like-minded peers. For many, this event is a final opportunity for some “no-strings-attached” rest as they prepare for another year of ministry in the extreme environment of the Arctic.
Why Give?
Pastors and Missionaries receive 100% of your sponsorship. Receiving sponsorship is often the deciding factor over whether a pastor and his family can attend or not. For example, last year we had a ministry family who wanted to attend but couldn’t afford the thousands of dollars it would cost to fly them out and attend. The generous sponsorship of several ABM ministry partners made the difference! They arrived just in time for registration and with huge smiles and with joyful tears they received a week of rest and spiritual renewal. Thanks so much!
