Patty spent most of her life in the Puget Sound area of Washington State. She attended graduate school at the University of Washington, earning an MBA and a Master’s in Professional Accounting. A few years after graduating, she began what would be a 20-year career as a Financial Analyst at the Boeing Company. Her love for flying, accounting/finance, and ministry made Arctic Barnabas a natural fit. After joining the ABM team, Patty served as the Director of Administration and Finance for 5 years.
Patty and Greg joined the Arctic Barnabas team in the summer of 2018, relocating from La Conner, WA. They have been married since 2012 and have 2 wonderful children, 2 amazing granddaughters, and 2 faithful furbabies.
As a teenager, Patty knew she wanted to fly professionally, and after starting flight lessons between her Junior and Senior years of High School, she made her first solo flight at age sixteen and continued to attain every rating short of an ATP by age twenty. However, God’s plan was not for Patty to fly professionally. Two months after graduating from college, a grand mal seizure caused the loss of her flight medical and, therefore, the ability to fly. After this, God faithfully kept her close to aviation for the next thirty years, paving the way to an aviation based ministry like ABM.
Even though now retired from office work, Patty is thrilled to continue serving ABM on the Board and continues to work with the current Finance Director in her capacity as the Board Treasurer.
