Rob Ross

Board Member

Rob is a third-generation Alaskan and was raised on the Kenai Peninsula.  He started in the Oil & Gas industry as a Mechanical Engineer in 1993 and spent the next 27 years in various technical and management roles.  In 2020, Rob retired from the Oil & Gas industry and pursued his passion as a Financial Advisor and CFP.  He loves his new role and no longer has a target retirement date.

Rob and his wife, Elizabeth, are raising three teenagers (two daughters and a son) and have two adult daughters who are currently starting their careers in the Lower 48.  Elizabeth is an elementary school music teacher.  She taught at Point Hope, Alaska, where she saw firsthand the need for our neighbors in the Bush to know Jesus.

Rob and Elizabeth continue to serve in their local church congregation, which was started in 1969 by Elizabeth’s father.  Rob has served as a Deacon and Elder, and Elizabeth has served as a Sunday School teacher and as Worship Director.  They both have a heart for missions, primarily focusing on those missions supported by Kenai Christian Church locally, statewide, nationwide, and internationally.  Rob’s journey with Arctic Barnabas started when he met and learned about the ministry from a former ABM Board Member in 2022.  Rob started as a Board Member in December 2024 and looks forward to serving our brothers and sisters and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ in Alaska.
