Tim Van Sickle

Board Member

Tim moved to Alaska with his parents, who came north as missionaries in 1953
when he was just two years old and has lived in Alaska most of his life. Tim is a
master carpenter who learned his trade working with his father who built
churches and other mission projects throughout the state and he has worked
from the North Slope to Southeast Alaska.

Tim and his wonderful wife Debi have been married 49 years and have been
blessed with two children and one amazing granddaughter. They live in Kasilof,
Alaska and enjoy exploring the state on their four-wheelers and snowmobiles.
Tim has served on the Arctic Barnabas Board since its inception and currently
serves as our Board Chairman.

Tim’s passion for strengthening and encouraging pastors and missionaries in
remote Alaska stems directly from growing up in the state as the son of
missionaries and experiencing all of the highs and lows that come with a life of
service for the Gospel.
